Miranda Barnett, M.A. Candidate

Department of Public History, Middle Tennessee State University, TN

This website serves as my portfolio highlighting some of the work that I created during my time in the program, as well as the skills and experience I gained relating to the public history field.

Photo I took of headstone in the Toqua Cemetery while doing research into its history as an enslaved cemetery that became a historic African American cemtery. I was researching this for Fort Loudoun State Historic Area.

Several documents that I helped preserve during my internship at the Rutherford County Archives. Originally believed to be a single document, further examination showed that it was three separate documents.
Photograph of processed collection box from Rutherford County Archives. I processed this collection during my mini-praticum for Dr. Kolar's Essentials of Archival Management
